Boxetti collection is driven by three basic design principles – functionality, advanced technologies and contemporary aesthetics of minimalism. Each of Boxetti modules is designed to achieve maximum efficiency of particular demands for functionality and suitability. The capability of the modules to be transformed into compactly solid blocks is essential for the design concept in order to obtain an unobstructed and comfortable space – free of uselessness. Boxetti collection is a handmade product – the quality of materials as well as structural and technological solutions endues the collection to the extent of exclusiveness.
Designed by Rolands Landsbergs for El Studija.

« From a basic form, defined by the municipal urban plan, sculptural “eyes” emerge with direct views to the varied countryside landscape. The form and orientation of the building avoid visual contact with the adjacent houses: at the ground floor the angled ceiling of the kitchen accentuates the intensive contact with the garden. On the first floor, the different shaped openings in the roof and façade offer, like “fingers of light”, varied daylight experiences. »

Atlanta based Shiner produces stylish eco-friendly furniture designed by Joe Manus.
Why eco-friendly?
All materials are selected with environmental responsibility in mind. Steel is 85% recycled. Cardboard is 100% recycled. Plywood comes from responsibly farmed, new growth timbers. Hardwoods come from drop cuts from board manufacturing that were destined for the landfill.
All goods are cut using CNC technology, which means maximum yield because of close nesting of parts on a panel, low labor overhead and low energy equation overall.
All leftover materials from cut panels go to fuel the timber kiln that dries our hardwoods or to be used in the production of biodiesel.

Two funy objects by Hong Kong designer Mike Mak.
Dear Van Gogh is a silicon mug that integrated with a realistic flexible ear. It could replace the punishment from MUM/ Wife / Girlfriend. And it is a good listener to keep your secrets and grumbling.
You can also customize it with your favourate earrings.

Eyeclock is a pleasuring clock which gives pleasure while telling you time.

Reacting to the previous post where you could already see one parked in front of the house, here is our first post about a car. And this one is one of my favorite ever.
The Citroen SM was a high performance coupé produced by the French manufacturer Citroën between 1970 and 1975. This Gran Turismo car is combining the sophisticated Citroën suspension with a Maserati V6 engine and was designed in-house by Citroën’s chief designer Robert Opron.

« The task was to create reasonably-priced residential space with high standards of living comfort for four differently sized parties. In the processs, each party was to profit as much as possible on the one hand from the 3,000 m2 south-facing environs, and on the other from the north-facing view of the city… In principle the double-storey apartments and the two roof apartments are encapsulated in each other so that the quality of the four-sided building is fully exploited. Common place and unrefined materials such as concrete, timber, wood and galvanised steel were chosen, which animated each other when combined. The precise insertion of coloured kitchens with reflective glass surfacing and the extensive coloured glass panelling of the bathroom walls contrast with the the coarse concrete and the organic patterns of the wood… The interior surfaces consist of boxing plywood on the walls and bonded boarding on the ceilings. »
