Designed by Frebch designer Christian Desile – produced by Belgian company Vange
« The ‘Desile’ sitting system emerges from the basic shape of a drawing. The incredible simplicity of its form entails a single numeric process. In using bamboo and recycled PET; the ‘Desile’ is a true ecological product highlighting environmental sustainability. Thanks to its two-way opening functionality (which also allows for a ‘BIKOLOR’ production), the Desile is a chair that lends itself to the most functional stacking system available as it folds completely flat (100 bamboo chairs = 2 linear metres). »

« The narrow site is sandwiched between very old neighboring buildings. Three thin slabs are projected into the open volume, softly dividing its functions. The continuous interior space is opening up to the street, to an intimate garden, and to the sky. »

By Italian designer Alessandro Andreucci and German designer Christian Hoisl for EMU
« The Cantilever series springs from the idea of a chair made entirely in steel with a cantilever structure, combining the company’s manufacturing tradition with its vocation toward experimental design. The result is an extremely comfortable chair, which gives an oscillating effect, almost as if gently rocking whoever sits in it. The lightness and transparency of the structure led to the developing of a complete line: chairs, in the armchair and low armchair versions, a large rectangular table and a lounger. The chairs are completed with cushions in the new Emu outdoor fabrics (solid color and stripes) providing the greatest comfort in use and a pleasing aesthetic detail. »

Crystal Virus
« A series of virus-formed crystal vases are fluently crawling over tables and chairs. They leave black burned stains in their confrontation with the furniture, but still they must be regarded as friendly beings.
This series of crystal vases is made by hand at Royal Leerdam Crystal. Big hot crystal bubbles are pressed onto wooden furniture and while the crystal burns into the wood, some of the woods texture is integrated into the vase. Vase and furniture are then displayed together as an installation. »
There are special events in which people are able to obtain a personalized Crystal Virus. They can submit their own piece of furniture, that will be infected with the Crystal Virus. On a set date, all people are invited to come to the old heart of the Royal Leerdam Crystal factory (one of the largest and oldest glass-factories in the world). »

Light Blubs
« The Light Blubs are a series of crystal lamps, designed by Pieke Bergmans, in cooperation with Royal Crystal Leerdam. The lamps are all unique handcrafted crystal pieces, equipped with leds by Solid Lighting Design. »
