Mitose Ceramics
By Amba Molly
« Can products fertilise each other – just like people – and do develop into something new?
I made a moulding system which is based on the human cell division. Starting with four products from two worlds, industrial and old-fashioned I used a plastic bottle, an old earthenware oil pitcher, a plastic Tupperware can and a hand-twisted earthenware can. By dividing the moulds systematically, 60 stones appeared. At four stages of division the products mix themselves increasingly further and gradually a new family with new DNA appears. »

32 Flowers in a Newspaper
Fresh Flowers is a collection of flowers, it’s a different newspaper, it’s a way of having flowers on your table everyday.
1. Choose a flower.
2. Place it as the cover.
3. Make a roll with all pages together.
4. Put it in a vase.
5. And of course, don’t water it!

Funnel Vase
By Roger Arquer
« Funnel Vase (2010) is a ceramic flower vessel with a side opening in a funnel shape. The funnel helps to change the water without having to remove the flowers. The old water can be easily poured out through the funnel and replaced with fresh water, without a mess. »
Funnel Vase is currently on show at an exhibition called Translations during the London Design Festival
