Cape Town design studio Whatiftheworld directed this amazing penthouse trailer park hotel project.
7 vintage Airstream trailers were hoisted onto the roof of the Grand Daddy Hotel on Long Street. WITW invited then local artists and designers to design and decorate the interior of one of these trailer.
The two-person Airstreams are situated neatly around the rooftop bar, which is open for afternoon drinks to guests and just the plain curious alike.
Rooms in the hotel start at only 945 rands ($90)

« The Afro Coffee range is a blend of classic African Arabicas. A true son of African soil, it originated in Kaffa on the plateaus of Ethiopia. Way up high. African by birthright, coffee by nature is Black. And Black is back. So drink deep.
A collection of the finest quality loose-leaf teas. All expertly hand-blended, home brewed. Rooibos and Honeybush from South Africa. Green and Black for some Asian flava. All with exotic flower blossoms and erotic wild fruits. All antioxidating. All 100% caffeine free. »
